thankful...

i am like a giddy school girl. i have been working on photoshop most of the night...and i can really see how this is going to improve my work. and i've only dented learning the program. it is beyond inspirational! i want to drag out all my old stuff & start correcting & changing it. i am more motivated now, than ever to shoot like crazy! i have been lining up some things to shoot in the spring that are outside my 'normal' way of shooting & i am pumped. it's time to make some art. i'm also really excited about the spring sessions coming up with the families i am going to shoot. i have already had several contact me & i am hoping for my biggest season yet. now that i have this new camera & new tool...watch out! my work is only going to get better & that feeling makes me want to strive to achieve the best shots i can get. thanks to my friend & creative inspiration joey & to chris for helping me get the program. i am also thankful to all my friends who have constantly encouraged me through the years to DO THIS. because over & over, they believed in me, before i believed in myself.

i am sweet on finally getting photoshop cs3! it's a new start for me & my work & i can't wait to see all that i can do with this new tool. i did get the chance to piggy back shoot with my friend joey last night & shoot her shooting what she had set up...they may be my first edit projects. here are a couple of the images raw. i have to say, i love them the way they are so it'll be especially exciting to jazz them up!

just what the doctor ordered...

i finally upgraded my camera today. i have been shooting with the same one since 2004! talk about being behind the times...especially in the digital age. as soon as you buy something, 6 months later there is something out that is better & faster & with more bells & whistles that you could've imagined. to think i've waited almost 5 years! the first one was such a big purchase for me, this was really small upgrade in the grand scheme of things, but i have big plans for the future :-) this is just enough to keep me going...and get me there.
i feel like i have lost my mojo a little in the last few weeks, i haven't even picked up my camera. this is exactly what i needed. after today i'm going to be more excited to pursue all the ideas floating around in my head.
thankfully i have a friend with 2 of the cutest babies ever who let's me show up whenever i'm in the mood to shoot. here are a couple of shots from today, of course i had to immediately test 'er out! keep in mind, i was fumbling through it...
