i feel like i haven't been writing on here as much as i intended to initially. i go through phases with it & i need to be conscious of continuing to add to this site. even if there are only 3 of you who read it, lol!

personally, i've had a run of bad luck over the past few weeks, but times...they are a changin. and the only way you can go from down is up. sometimes, it's just hard not to lose faith in people. just so happens, my faith is strong & it always comes back around :-)

i found out today my elbow IS still broken, luckily it has been healing well on it's own & hasn't shifted. this is my shootin arm so it's def important stuff. thankfully it's no longer painful as much as it is bothersome. bothersome i can handle.

professionally, i've got a couple of new projects i am working on that i'm pretty excited about...details to come :-)

i have finally finished editing this session & even though i was very happy when i looked at the shots initially-i found as i went through them again, editing, i liked more & more of them. it's a great feeling when that happens. to think you're really pleased with something, only to realize you like it even more as time goes by :-) casie is pregnant with her 3rd & finds out in just a couple of weeks if her 2 girls add a brother to the brood or if it's more pink! im sure she's got alot of people pullin for her to have a boy so her husband rob isn't outnumbered so terribly, but they sure do make beautiful girls...can't wait to hear what it's going to be!

restored faith

if you have not read 'the shack' by william p young-go out & get it. NOW. seriously, i feel like this book has renewed my faith. i, in no way, think of myself as a religious person. i do however feel very spiritual and this book reinforced everything i have ever felt about god as a being. it is one of those reads where you laugh & cry outloud. i found myself reading through tears numerous times. "sad" books or movies have never been my thing, but this one was so worth every tear.

i went to a little church picnic a couple of weeks ago & i just realized i hadn't posted any of the shots. it was a perfect night with beautiful light. had to do little to no editing on these...i was just able to point & shoot for fun! of course my friends gorgeous children make that task a little easier ;-)

exciting weekend results in injury

i was so excited for my sister & nieces to come up for our annual summer 'girls weekend slumber party' that we have every year before the girls go back to school. sophie & carly were both dying to go roller skating & i was all about it because i love to roller skate! i hadn't been in years, but i was up & mobile on those wheels pretty fast. i was doing great until i got a little too big for my britches & tried to skate backwards. above is a pic of me with the girls at the skating rink before my unfortunate injury. below is a pic of me with my bunco buddies who i NEVER get to go out with, so i wasn't about to miss saturday night at captains quarters, injury or no injury. but you can see how fetching my sling was! i am going to have my arm xrayed again tomorrow & PRAYING it's more of a minor injury than they first thought. having my right arm not function doesn't only affect my ability to shoot, i can't even write! cross your fingers for me that i get a good report :-)
